Shipping policy
At Fit It Out, we do our best to ship orders quickly, safely, and at the most reasonable cost available. Because many of our products are heavy, oversized, or shipped in multiple boxes, shipping fitness equipment can be more complex than standard parcel shipping.
Order Processing
We typically begin processing orders as soon as possible.
During busy periods, order processing may take 2 to 5 business days. Once your order has been processed, you will receive a notification with the next steps or tracking information, where applicable.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are based on several factors, including:
- The weight of the order
- The size and number of boxes
- The shipping destination
- The carrier available for the route
- Whether the shipment requires parcel, oversized parcel, or freight handling
Shipping rates are usually calculated at checkout before you complete your order.
Because fitness equipment can be heavy, long, or oversized, there may be rare cases where the shipping rate shown at checkout does not accurately reflect the actual shipping cost. If this happens, our customer service team will contact you before the order is shipped. We will review the options with you and make sure the shipping charge is accurate and agreed upon before proceeding.
We will never charge an additional shipping amount without contacting you first.
Delivery Time
Most orders are shipped within 1 to 5 business days after processing.
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on the carrier, destination, weather conditions, busy seasons, or other circumstances outside of our control. We will do our best to keep you updated if there are any known delays.
Shipping Carriers
Fit It Out works with a variety of carriers depending on the size, weight, destination, and best available rate for your order.
Our commonly used carriers may include Canada Post, Canpar, UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, or other available delivery partners.
We reserve the right to select or change the carrier used for your shipment while maintaining our service standards and working to keep shipping costs as reasonable as possible.
Once your order ships, you will receive tracking information where available. Estimated delivery dates are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.
Large or Heavy Equipment Orders
Some larger orders may ship in multiple boxes or may require freight delivery.
For heavy or oversized orders, delivery may be curbside or to the nearest accessible delivery point, depending on the carrier and delivery address. Customers may need to make arrangements to bring large or heavy items inside.
If your order requires special delivery coordination, we will contact you.
Local Pickup
Local pickup may be available from our Oakville, Ontario location.
Once your order is ready, we will contact you to confirm pickup availability.
Please bring the credit card used for the purchase and a matching piece of ID when picking up your order. If someone else will be picking up the order on your behalf, please notify us ahead of time by emailing support@fititout.com or calling us.
Pickup orders are usually prepared as soon as possible, but during busy periods, processing may take 1 to 5 business days.
Once your order is ready, we ask that it be picked up within 48 hours where possible. If you need more time, please contact us and we will work with you to arrange a mutually agreeable pickup time.
Inventory Availability and Backorders
We do our best to keep inventory availability updated. In rare cases, an item may sell out before the website has been updated.
If you purchase an item that has recently gone out of stock, we will contact you as soon as possible and provide the following options:
- Remove the backordered item and proceed with the rest of the order
- Keep the order open until all items are back in stock
- Cancel the order
We will do our best to provide an estimated arrival date for backordered items, but exact timing may not always be available.
